The Basis : Guru Sadhu Shastra

Srila Narottama dasa thakur advises sadhu shastra guru vajya , cittete kariya aikya " The meaning of this instruction is that one must consider the instructions of sadhu , the revealed scriptures and the spiritual master in order to understand the real purpose of spiritual life.

Neither a sadhu who is saintly person or vaishnava nor a bona fide spiritual master says anything that is beyond the scope of the sanction of the revealed scriptures.

The philosophy and practice of krsna Consciousness are delineated by guru , sadhu , and shastra. Shastra (scriptures) is the word of god or that which is spoken by realized devotees of GOD.

Shastra is strictly followed by sadhus, but only scriptures and commentaries accepted by vaishnavas can be considered properly authorized.
The bona fide guru ones personal teacher knows the authorized vaisnva scriptures lives according to their tenets and teaches the same.

In one sense , any beginning in krsna Consciousness is good. But to be actually successful in devotional service a person must accept the authorized process.
One must accept the guidance of a bona fide spiritual master with full submission.

For those who want to start devotional service should have to take the shelter of holy name Harinam mahamantra and spiritual master guru "

Now there are also some yogas at different stages into the path of devotional service.

We have heard the names of so many different yogas and yogīs, but in Bhagavad-gītā Kṛṣṇa says that the actual yogī is he who has surrendered himself “fully unto Me.” Kṛṣṇa proclaims that there is no difference between renunciation (sannyāsa) and yoga.

yaṁ sannyāsam iti prāhur
yogaṁ taṁ viddhi pāṇḍava
na hy asannyasta-saṅkalpo
yogī bhavati kaścana

“What is called renunciation is the same as yoga, or linking oneself with the Supreme; for no one can become a yogī unless he renounces the desire for sense gratification.” (Bg. 6.2)
